Dr Ellie is familiar to everyone as the GP for the Mail on Sunday where she writes her weekly health pages that also appear on Mailonline.

She is well known as the on-screen GP for Sky News Sunrise and Channel 5 news and every week is the voice of health on Matthew Wright’s Talk Radio show. She commentates frequently across all media on health matters whether cannabis or dieting, breastfeeding or dementia. She is also the resident GP for online women’s health forum The Latte Lounge!

Ellie describes her speciality as people and is as a comfortable talking to new mums with their babies as she is dealing with the sex lives of teenagers. Having such a broad family health practice allows her to speak with authority on issues across all aspects of health and the NHS. This makes her an inspiring and friendly speaker for your event.

Dr Ellie is a natural broadcaster as she has the medical knowledge but also the vibrant personality and vitality to relate to her patients and audiences.

She has appeared on prime-time Channel 4 series Health Freaks and Doctor in Your House. In 2017 she channeled her inner-geek appearing in a Celebrity Eggheads team of TV doctors – winning her round!

Ellie’s second book Is Your Job Making You Ill? was published in January 2018 and focuses on mental health issues at work. Her first book ‘Keep Calm, The New Mum's Manual’ for new parents, was released in 2014.

Both books have resulted in extensive speaker engagements including in November 2018 alongside HRH Prince William. Ellie is a natural public speaker and presents regularly at conferences and corporates on a range of topics: she has also presented at two parliamentary APPGs on medical matters .

She works extensively with brands across consumer health products and beyond, on health related PR activities and campaigns such as radio days and briefings.

Ellie is a charity ambassador for Meningitis Now and is a GP/celebrity ambassador for Pancreatic Cancer Action, the Lullaby Trust and the Eve Appeal. Ellie regularly works on campaigns for Public Health England including Change for Life, One You and Be Clear on Cancer.

Dr Ellie read medicine at Cambridge and has worked in the same NHS GP practice for over a decade, on Abbey Road.
