Lawrie McMenemy is a very experienced public speaker, specialising in management motivation, a theme addressed at numerous corporate conferences, including: Reuters, Hewlett Packard, Sema Group, Lloyds Bank, IBM and The Royal Mail. He has appeared on The Michael Parkinson Show, Wogan and Call My Bluff and has written two books, Diary of a Season and Lawrie McMenemy's Book of Soccer. He is on the committee of Outward Bound. His other hobbies and interests include golf, tennis and the theatre.
   
Lawrie most famously oversaw Southampton Football Club's most successful period in their history when he guided his team to FA Cup victory in 1976 against Manchester United. Lawrie also introduced an enhanced youth development policy during his spell as a manager from which England internationals Mark Wright, Mathew Le Tissier and Alan Shearer have graduated from.
