John Amaechi OBE
As schoolboy, Phil won 3 Schoolboy International Caps and 4 Youth International Caps. He joined Llanelli RFC in 1967 and played for them for 16 seasons. He was captain for six consecutive seasons during which time the team won the Welsh Cup three times. Phil played 29 times for Wales, winning two Grand Slams and three Triple Crowns. He captained for two seasons (eight games) and won two Triple Crowns and one Grand Slam as captain.
Ieuan has made seven appearances for the British Lions and is a member of the elite band of Triple Lions Tourists, touring in Australia 1989, New Zealand 1993 and South Africa 1997, where a groin injury ended his trip prematurely.
